Frankfurt, January 26, 2024 - The German Design Award 2024 has once again celebrated creativity and innovation in the design industry by honoring outstanding talent and their groundbreaking projects. The prestigious award, presented by the German Design Council, is an internationally recognized symbol of outstanding design quality and innovation. With the German Design Award we create much more than just a showcase for design achievements.
We see more and more the need to put the design discourse in the foreground: global developments, sustainability and circular design, digitalization and AI, as well as ideas for a more social, fairer society are topics that have a place with us," emphasizes Lutz Dietzold, Managing Director of the German Design Council. “With submissions from every continent in the world, we are showcasing cross-industry developments and concrete solutions for the German Design Award on how we can achieve change globally.”
This year, the winners were recognized in a variety of categories for their outstanding achievements in the areas of product design, communication design, architecture and interior design. The jury, consisting of well-known experts and industry leaders, recognized the innovative strength, aesthetics and functionality of the submitted works.
“The German Design Award 2024 honors the creativity and commitment of designers who, through their work, exceed the limits of the possible and shape the future of design,” says Lutz Dietzold, Managing Director of the German Design Council. “This year’s winners have proven with their outstanding projects that design has a transformative power and can have a positive impact on our daily lives.”
