Chalet Vorderer Sonnberg Kirchberg

PROJECT

Good things take time

Over three years this chalet in Kirchberg was developed with empathy and consistency. The result is convincing: the interior design combines traditional references to the materiality of the surrounding countryside with contemporary flair; doors and furniture made of black pine accentuate and divide the rooms. Folded spruce, oak, waxed steel, Valser granite and textiles - mainly loden, linen and deerskin - were used.

The finely tuned material mix gives the chalet its unique character in connection with straight, modern forms and unusual surfaces.

STORY

With a pronounced understanding of architecture and style, even unexpressed wishes are implemented

Bernd Gruber not only brings inspiration from his travels, but often also sculptures and objects - fascinating unique pieces with history. Without haste and with great sensitivity, these are integrated into properties and once again make it a unique space with personality. In this case they come from Bali or Paris. For example, an old castle door has found its new purpose as a bar cupboard in the wine cellar.
