Apartment Marbella Spain

PROJECT

Place for people and art

Minimalist, unobtrusive and with special attention to detail, the apartment is not just a retreat from everyday life. »Making room for the selected art collection of the host so that it could develop was a fundamental concern,« says Mike Knelleken, project manager at Bernd Gruber. It is an interplay of materials. The walls in a white spatula technique, a white concrete floor, special tiles in variations, special lamellar cabinets in snow-white pine with brushed structure.

Bernd Gruber sets colour accents from curry to blue with Moroccan elements. Metal cladding in bronze, washbasin and a long fireplace bench made of »Ebano grollato«, the detailed built-in elements make this property something very special.

STORY

The local conditions and the climate must be taken into account in every project.

Due to the humidity that comes from the sea, we used an open lamella construction for all cupboards, which ensures ideal ventilation. For the floor, we chose a spatula technique that gives the apartment coherence and peace. However, we placed particular emphasis on details such as bronzed light switches, bronze and other metal accents in the accessories and a certain creative playfulness in the light sources.
