My First 10 Days with Bernd Gruber

Hello, I am Elif, Senior Designer and since June 2016 I am part of Bernd Gruber's team. Here I tell you about my first 10 days in the office and my personal impressions. Have fun reading!

01 WELCOME

... a special moment :)
... a notebook with a greeting card written by hand + a chocolate truffle on my desk, WHERE is there such a thing?

02 TEETHING PROBLEMS

...well, such a start is usually always a bit bumpy, there is just so many new things ...
the environment_ WHERE am I?
the team_ WHO are you again?
the workflows_ WHERE was that again?
The structures_ HOW was that again?
etc. to get to know...an orienteering race & at the end everything was half as bad.

03 TEAM

... after the first encounter in the rehearsal week, a true joy of reunion. A very respectful and humorous exchange of different characters. Hierarchies exist & are needed.

04 VALUES

... a very clear recognition value! Great importance is attached to this and in the weekly team meetings it is repeatedly thematised, interpreted and presented anew.

05 MEETINGS

...Important & being there is everything! Here one gets the insider information.

06 PROJECTS

... WHO? HOW? WHERE? WHAT? I'M SUPPOSED TO DO THAT, BUT...
My first assignment, a project in the final stadium/execution planning and I had the honor to finalize it. Respect to my project manager, we made it!

The second assignment, sketch/draft/concept planning, my 3D draft was incorporated into the presentation – I was a bit proud.

Third assignment, concept planning/customer presentation, it really made me feel good to be able to get to know very appreciative clients in this development process, starting with hand-drawn sketches and CAD planning through to sample proposals.

07 COFFEE BREAK

Meeting point kitchen – always! ...all you need is Kaffee in the office, round the clock and homemade cakes! ...the ladies clearly in charge.

08 BUSINESS BREAKFAST

... Breakfast buffet meets brand manufacturers. Representatives of various companies inform us about their companies and novelties during a gourmet breakfast. A nice and very informative change, unfortunately only once a month so far!
